Protective motor relays are electrical devices which protect a motor from burning out. This can occur for a range of reasons, including being overloaded, a locked rotor, phase-failure, overly long starting times and standstill-braking, amongst others. Protective motor relays are designed to protect your system against motor burnout, detecting a problem at its initial stage and either eliminating or significantly reducing damage to the equipment and to the people operating it.
