Memory Card Connectors

A memory socket, also known as a RAM slot or RAM socket, is a component that is found on the motherboard of a computer. The socket is usually long and slim and is often arranged in a ‘bank’ style of either two or four (although some high-spec boards can have up to eight). These sockets allow different RAM modules of different capacities and speeds to be added to the computer.
