Automotive Relays

Relays are electronic switches powered by low current circuits that open and close high current circuits, usually by means of an electromagnetic coil. The benefits of restricting high currents to the components that need them are both safety and cost: high current components cost more. Equipping machinery with multiple relays is therefore an opportunity to protect each circuit from any malfunction in an adjoining one while significantly reducing the construction cost.
